County & City Commissioners to hold Joint Meeting

Word has reached RFMJ that the Wilson County Commission WEMA Committee and the Mt. Juliet City Commission will be holding a joint meeting on Tuesday, July 12th, at 7:00pm in the Wilson County Courthouse in Lebanon.

That would be tomorrow night.

Has anyone, anywhere seen a public notice about this meeting?

  1. RP:

It would violate the Tennessee Public Meetings Act to hold a meeting of elected officials behind closed doors – with only a very few exceptions.

    This ain’t one of them.

  2. It’s on the county website, but there is no note concerning “our” invite. Wonder if our city guys know the covert G-14 BS the county likes to play….oh yeah, that’s right…they dun convinced Ed we ain’t got no coverage cause they pullin’ out…duh. The big headliner on the agenda is Commissioner Reich’s proposal. This oughta be good.

I thought the property tax was defeated and now it passes tonight in the budget. 20-cent property tax in Mt. Juliet. I never thought I would see the day.
