Another personnel change at city hall

unannounced in the local papers. But apparently Finance Director Eddie Stott will be leaving soon (or has left?). On December 13th, a job announcement was posted on the website of the Municipal Technical Advisory Service in Knoxville announcing that the City of Mt. Juliet is looking for a Finance Director, with an application deadline of December 28th.

The dates are intriguing since just above it is the announcement that the City of Mt. Juliet is looking for a City Planner. The Planner job listing was posted on December 11th with an application deadline of January 4th.

Update: The City issued a press release, which was picked up by the Tennessean.

Any word on why the Chief of Police resigned? He stated if he was given the job, he would stay at least 5 years. Something is going on in the background that we aren’t seeing.

I don’t know why Chief Floyd is retiring yet, but I certainly do wish him well and I thank him for his many years of service to the city.

    Thank you Chief Floyd.
